His particular areas of interest are youth ministry and Christian education. He is on the board of several Christian  education enterprises that are part of, or have close connections to, the OPC.

He serves on the denomination's Committee on Christian Education and the Presbytery of Southern California's Youth Committee, in which capacity he  assists in organizing retreats, mission trips, and wilderness expeditions.

He is married to Susan, his wife of some 30 years, and they have two daughters.

David came to know and love the Lord Jesus as his Savior in his early 20's through the faithful witness of college friends and the Spirit of God opening  his heart afresh to the Word, especially through reading the Gospel of John.

His understanding of the truths of the Reformed Faith began from reading the Westminster  Confession of Faith and a little book on the Five Points of Calvinism which were both wedding gifts from an elder in his new bride's church. He is very grateful for the nurture he has received along the way from a number of faithful OP ministers and ruling elders.
