 Pastor
Alan R. Pontier received his undergraduate degree in Elementary Education
from Shelton College in Cape May, NJ. He holds both a Master of Divinity
(M. Div.) degree and a Master of Theology (Th. M. in Historical Theology)
from Covenant Seminary in St. Louis, MO. He was ordained to the ministry
in 1977 and served as pastor of Beverly Orthodox Presbyterian Church from
1988 to 2003. He and his wife, Mary Lynn, moved to Big Bear City in
2006 where he is currently pastor of Big Bear Valley Orthodox Presbyterian
Church.
Pastor Alan was raised in a christian family and came to know the Lord as his savior early in life. He met Mary Lynn while working at a Bible conference in New Jersey. They were married in 1977 and have three daughters. |
